Who we are

InsightScout is operated by C.M. Leal LTDA. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

What we collect

• Account information: name and email address (provided via Clerk authentication)
• Project data: product descriptions, goals, website URLs, and competitor information you enter when creating projects
• Usage data: insights viewed, feedback ratings, and feature usage
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment details.

What we don't collect

• We do not use tracking cookies or analytics pixels
• We do not collect your social media credentials
• We do not track your activity outside of InsightScout

How we use your data

• To provide and improve the Service
• To generate insights relevant to your projects
• To send you daily digest emails (you can opt out anytime)
• To process payments via Stripe

Third-party services

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate InsightScout and process data on our behalf. These may include providers for:

• Authentication and account management (for example, Clerk)
• Payment processing (for example, Stripe)
• AI processing and analysis (for example, OpenAI)
• Email delivery (for example, Resend)
• Hosting, infrastructure, and background processing

These providers process data only as needed to help us operate the Service. We do not sell your personal data.

Public data we scan

InsightScout scans publicly available content across online communities and websites. We do not access private messages, locked communities, protected accounts, or any content that requires authentication. All data we analyze is already publicly accessible. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any of the platforms or websites we scan. Third-party content remains subject to the rights, terms, and policies of its original authors, publishers, and platform owners.

Third-party platforms and trademarks

InsightScout may reference third-party platform names to describe supported sources, comparisons, or use cases. Those names, trademarks, service marks, and logos belong to their respective owners. Reference to a platform does not imply endorsement, partnership, or affiliation. Platform availability, policies, and technical access can change at any time, which may affect how parts of the Service operate.

Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Project data (threads, insights) is retained according to your plan's history limit. When you delete a project, its data is permanently removed after a 24-hour cooldown period. When you delete your account, all associated data is deleted.

Your rights

You can: access your data through the dashboard; export your insights; delete your projects; opt out of email communications; request account deletion by contacting us.
